Monitoring - Allen ISD Staff,
As of this morning, Canvas is back online and accessible for Allen ISD staff and students. However, some users may experience periodic interruptions as services continue to stabilize and Canvas determines next steps for the hosting infrastructure.
Key information at this time:
The Allen ISD portal Canvas tiles have been re-enabled for student and staff access. Users may have to log out and log back in into the portal to see the Canvas tiles.
Certain features within Canvas, including the Google Workspace SSO integration, may remain unavailable until further updates are provided by Instructure/Canvas.
Changes in course rosters have been temporarily disabled; as a result, course enrollments may not reflect the most current information at this time.
Instructure/Canvas has taken action to investigate the incident and is continuing to communicate updates to Canvas customers including Allen ISD. While this incident was not targeted at Allen ISD and did not impact the District’s infrastructure or network systems, the district will continue to actively monitor the situation. The Allen ISD Information Technology Department will provide additional communication as it becomes available.
